Open Cooling Towers

Open cooling towers operate based on the principle of direct evaporative cooling, where water comes into direct contact with air to dissipate heat. In an open-circuit system, the warm process water is distributed over fill media to maximize surface area, allowing a portion of the water to evaporate as air is drawn or forced through the tower by fans. This evaporation removes heat from the remaining water, lowering its temperature before it is collected in the basin and recirculated back into the system. Because the water is exposed to the atmosphere, open cooling towers offer high thermal efficiency and simple design, but require proper water treatment to manage contamination, scaling, and biological growth.

PRODUCT FEATURES
